Meetup August 9, 2025
Our 1st meetup of the month is on August 9th. Jeff Burton retains to lead us in songs from to ’80s.
It’s a great pleasure to once again have Jeff Burton as our strum leader. Jeff always brings a wonderful assortment of songs that we don’t usually get a chance to sing and play. This meeting is hits of the 80s from KROQ.

Our schedule:
9 AM to 9:45 AM – The first part of this hour Jim Levy will present a terrific way he learned to play up the neck of the ukulele. Movable cords are a real treat once you learn to play them comfortably. Download the fretboard patterns here.
And I will also be leading the group in a few warm-up rehearsals of Pink Shoelaces. Mark will be back at the next meeting and take over the full arrangement rehearsals.
10:00 to 11:15 AM – Guest leader Jeff Burton will present his K-Rock It’s from the 80s.
11:15 AM to 11:40 – Individual performance time! I really hope we can get many people to sign up. I would love to see some of our new Strummers stretch their wings. Then we need to pack up and exit the building before Noon.
