Join the Plucking Strummers!

We’re a welcoming sing-and-strum ukulele club serving Northeast Los Angeles and beyond.

Join us from 9:00 – 11:45 AM on the 2nd and 4th Saturday morning of each month at CCLA in Atwater Village!

We play a lot of music out of the famously popular Yellow and Blue “Daily Ukulele Songbooks”, with fresh additions and timeless classics thrown in for good measure.

Each strum begins at nine with an hour and a half playing and singing together, with snacks provided by our members in between. Then we’ll wrap things up with an encouraging open mic filled with lovely performances!

Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend, and music will be provided in person but can also be downloaded in advance via the Calendar and our Facebook page.

Ensemble Extravaganza

This year’s Ukulele Ensemble Extravaganza is being held in Lafayette, California on August 4th, 5th, and 6th. This is a rare opportunity to play in an ensemble for 3 days. Music is sent in advance, and includes High G, Low G, Baritone and Bass ukulele parts. All levels are included. This is a unique and rewarding experience. Seats are still available and the music looks great so far.

Vinícius Vivas is flying in from Brazil as a guest leader.
