Plucking Strummers Meetup

Join the Plucking Strummers!

We’re a welcoming sing-and-strum ukulele club serving Northeast Los Angeles and beyond.

Join us from 9:00 – 11:45 AM on the 2nd and 4th Saturday morning of each month at CCLA in Atwater Village!

We play a lot of music out of the famously popular Yellow and Blue “Daily Ukulele Songbooks”, with fresh additions and timeless classics thrown in for good measure.

Each strum begins at nine with an hour and a half playing and singing together, with snacks provided by our members in between. Then we’ll wrap things up with an encouraging open mic filled with lovely performances!

Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend, and music will be provided in person but can also be downloaded in advance via the Calendar and our Facebook page.

Suggested Free Will Donation: $10

Address: 3852 Edenhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90039

Irish Holiday Chorus 2026
March 14th Performance

☘️☘️☘️Everyone’s Irish on St Patrick’s Day! ☘️☘️☘️

You’re invited to a performance of the Holiday Ukulele Chorus featuring music for St Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 14, at 130PM at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E Holly Street.

The Senior Center has offered free admission for friends of the cast, but RSVP is required, so please DM Pam Vincent with the number of people attending so we can get you on the list. This will be a fun show featuring audience participation and big sing along. Hope to see you there!

Our Next Meetup is March 14, 2026 with Fred Sokolow

Join us March 14th for a musical voyage through the “American Western Music” genre led by our dear friend (and one of our favorite guests) “Fred Sokolow”.

Fred will be doing Cowboy Songs because he knows that the chord melody solos are pretty easy…and the songs are delightful.

The first hour of Saturday, Cory will be presenting an edited list from the Irish set that we have been performing for the last couple of weeks.

Swap at Every Meetup

Great news… we will be having Swap Meets at every meetup this year. Come early at 8:30am before the meeting starts to display your gear.
