DESCRIPTION:September 13rd at 9:00am “Happy Songs with HoneyB”\n\n\nCome on and get happy!\n\n\nSometimes you just need to Look on the Bright Side of Life Join us Saturday September 9th as HoneyB leads the group with songs that will make you smile\, tap your toes\, play your ukulele\, and sing your heart out!\n\n\nClick here for the PDF of the songs.\n\n\n\nOur schedule:\n\n\n9 AM to 9:45 AM – It’s great to have Mark back and he will be leading the group in a few warm-up rehearsals of Pink Shoelaces. Mark will be directing the full arrangement of the song. If there’s time\, I will go over one or two of the trickier songs in my Deam list.\n\n\n10:00 to 11:15 AM – Happy Songs.\n\n\n11:15 AM to 11:40 – Individual performance time! I really hope we can get many people to sign up. I would love to see some of our new Strummers stretch their wings. Then we need to pack up and exit the building before Noon.\n\n\nDisclaimers:\n\n\nMasks are no longer mandatory\, however\, if you feel more comfortable wearing one\, please do.\n\n\nIt is very important to the church that we have completely exited the building and cleaned up behind us before the next group arrives. So\, depending on the number of performance signups\, we may or may not get to all of them. Any member who signs up but does not get to perform will be moved to the top of the list for the next meeting.\n\n\nAny member who wishes to be a guest presenter/teacher needs to contact me weeks before the meeting\, let me know what you plan to present and provide me early copies of any material you will be handing out.\n\n\nAs there are only a few music stands readily available to us\, if you have a music stand\, please bring it with you.

DESCRIPTION:YACHT ROCK WITH HONEYB\n\n\n\n“Yacht rock” refers to a music style and aesthetic\, often associated with soft rock\, that emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s\, characterized by glossy production\, breezy vocals\, and bouncy rhythms\, evoking the image of relaxing cruises. Our fabulous Co Director HoneyB will lead us through this broad genre that draws on influences like smooth soul\, smooth jazz\, R&B\, and disco. \n\n\n\nI Saw the Light In Your Eyes\n\n\nJust the Two of Us\n\n\nManeater\n\n\nOnly a Fool Would Say That\n\n\nRight Down the Line\n\n\nSteal Away\n\n\nYou’re No Good\n\n\nYou’re So Vain\n\n\nAll the songs are in PDF form so there is no need to bring either the blue or yellow books. \nCLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE SONGS\n\n  \n\n\n9 AM to 9:15 AM –This week we will have a Finger Picking exercise with Keith and a Ukule-lei making set with Oneida.\n\n\n9:15 to 10:00 the second Plucking Strummers Songwriters Workshop.\n\n\nBring a song you are working on\, a partial song\, fragment\, idea\, or just listen.\n\n\n\n9:50 AM to 10:00 AM -Breaktime\, and a chance to mingle and share snacks and refreshments.\n\n\n10:00 to 11:15 AM – This will be our classic strum session\, performing a list of songs chosen by our guest leader.\n\n\n11:15 AM to 11:30 – Second Breaktime.\n\n\n11:30 AM to 12:00 Individual performance time!
