Meetup – March 8, 2025
Join us for our 1st meetup of the month.
March 8th will be our 2025 St Patrick’s Day meeting. You’re welcome to wear green, and as much as you want. Our leader for this festival of Irish music will be Cory Brendel. Cory is putting together a Holiday Ukulele Choir set of Irish music that will be performed at selected venues in this part of town, from Pasadena to Burbank. Please review the song list and check them out on YouTube. Some of them may be unfamiliar to you, they certainly were unfamiliar to me, but great songs nonetheless.

9 AM to 9:45 AM –This week we will have warm-ups starting at 9:00am.
Based on available time, we will learn the melodies of songs in the strum list you may not remember that well. Or at all. It’s an idea I had that we would all enjoy the strum/singing section of the meeting more if we weren’t learning the songs and trying to play/sing at the same time.
9:50 AM to 10:00 AM -Breaktime, and a chance to mingle and share snacks and refreshments.
10:00 to 11:15 AM – This will be our classic strum session, performing a list of songs chosen by our guest leader.
11:15 AM to 11:30 – Second Breaktime.
11:30 AM to 12:00 Individual performance time! I really hope we can get many people to sign up. I would love to see some of our new Strummers stretch their wings. Then we need to pack up and exit the building before Noon.
